Kentish Town based Boy/ Girl duo Dec Shoes, play live as a vocal and vinyl DJ set, feeding their own and other people’s tunes into the mix and mutating them through live vocals, loops and effects.
Their sound combines, house, techno, cosmic disco, funk and bass.
Inspired by the aesthetic of the MC/ DJ set up of the original New York sound systems, Dec Shoes replace rapping with sensual vocals and play with the certainties of four to the floor DJing.
